TONY R. GAYLOR

Tony R. Gaylor is a principal member of Chambers & Gaylor Law Firm, PLLC. Attorney Gaylor practices primarily in the areas of public finance, municipal law, commercial transactions and general civil litigation. He graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992. He earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School where he was a member of the Tulane Moot Court team. After graduating from law school in 1995, Attorney Gaylor clerked for Justice Fred L. Banks, Jr. at the Mississippi Supreme Court. Additionally, Attorney Gaylor has received a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Attorney Gaylor has worked on various transactions involving public finance while representing several governmental and quasi-governmental entities. As such, Attorney Gaylor has been a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and is listed within the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace Directory (“The Red Book”). Attorney Gaylor has a significant public policy practice and represents school districts, municipalities, counties and housing authorities. As such, Attorney Gaylor has advised his clients in matters including annexation efforts, economic development projects, public finance, all manner of litigation, municipal matters and contractual issues. Additionally, Attorney Gaylor serves as the legal counsel for the Mississippi Association of Supervisors’ Minority Caucus.
Attorney Gaylor has represented businesses, quasi-governmental entities and associations in various transactional matters and all manner of litigation. He has provided legal advice to various municipalities, counties, public school districts, Headstart agencies and housing authorities regarding laws pertaining to securities regulations, procurement matters, property law, labor law, and federal regulations, including HUD regulations.
Professionally, Attorney Gaylor has been a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, the Magnolia Bar Association, the Capital Area Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Attorney Gaylor remains active within the community through his work with various organizations. As such, he has recently been awarded the Mississippi Bar Association’s Lawyer Citizenship Award as well as one of the Top 50 Leaders in the Law by the Mississippi Business Journal in 2011. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Urban League of Greater Jackson. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership. He is also an active member of Anderson United Methodist Church where he has served on its Board of Trustees.

Rayford G. Chambers is a member of the law firm of Chambers & Gaylor Law Firm, PLLC. Attorney Chambers is a trial attorney who focuses primarily on civil litigation, but has represented numerous defendants in various legal matters. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1991. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1995. Attorney Chambers clerked for Justice Fred L. Banks, Jr. at the Mississippi Supreme Court.
Attorney Chambers has experience representing numerous Fortune 500 companies in defense matters including product liability, premises liability, personal injury defense, wage and hour litigation, worker’s compensation, mass tort and various employment matters. As a defense attorney, Attorney Chambers has represented numerous insurance companies, including State Farm Insurance Company, U S F & G Insurance Company, and St. Paul Insurance Company. Attorney Chambers also represents various national title insurance agencies in claims involving fraudulent title conveyances including Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Ticor Title Insurance Company. Attorney Chambers has represented Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Monsanto in product liability defense matters.
Additionally, Attorney Chambers has represented individuals in personal injury, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, product liability, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, and consumer fraud litigation including class or collective actions against mortgage lenders, title lenders, and banking institutions.
Professionally, Attorney Chambers is a member of the Magnolia Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the Mississippi Bar Association. Attorney Chambers was an Associate Member of the Charles Clark Inns of Court in 1999. Additionally, he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi.
Giving Back to the Community
Both Mr. Gaylor and Mr. Chambers enjoy helping people in the community. They work with many organizations to help those in need. They have been recognized for their community and business efforts. For instance, Attorney Gaylor was named one of the Top 50 Leaders in the Law by the Mississippi Business Journal in 2011. |
